I was reading this article in The Star the other day about the ongoing Popular BookFest. In the article, it is written that this year's BookFest would be bigger and better since Popular claims to have taken into account their consumers' comments and suggestions on ways to improve when organising the current year's BookFest.

Yesterday, I visited the Bookfest at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) to see for myself the validity of their claims. Now I have to say, do not give this Bookfest a miss. I think Popular is indeed improving year by year.

There were:
1. Buy 1 Free 1 promotions.



2. 2nd @ 50% promotions.

3. 25%, 30%, etc discounts.


4. Special prices for selected books.


AND best of all, 20% discount off all books available in the BookFest.



Apart from the great discounts, there are many different genre of books on sale too. Cookbooks, novels, books on architecture, interior designing, photography, art, Malay novels, etc.

There are also large sections dedicated to stationery and CDs.


If you ask me, I had a great time at the BookFest, spending close to 4 hours there. There were just so many things to browse through. Take my word for it, BookFest @ Malaysia 2010 is worth going.
